Buying guide
Photos and films are the part of the wedding you keep. This guide explains what a Lahore photography team usually covers, how packages are priced and how to choose between offers by looking at the right things.
The short version
A photography booking is defined by people, hours and what you receive at the end. Typical offers include:
Photography is priced per event or as a package for several events, such as mehndi, baraat and walima together. Packages usually work out cheaper per event than booking each one separately.
Team size and hours drive the price most. One photographer for a few hours at a nikkah is a very different job from a team of photographers and videographers at a large baraat. Cinematic films take longer to edit than standard coverage, and drone footage, albums and same-day edits add to the total.
Ask what you get at the end: how many edited photos, how long the films are, in what format, and whether raw files are included. Two offers with the same total can deliver very different amounts of work.
Strong photographers are booked early for peak-season weekends, often before the decorator or makeup artist. Send a request as soon as your dates are fixed, especially if you want the same team for several events.
Plan the schedule with them a week or so before: when they arrive, when the couple shoot happens, which family portraits matter and where the light will be. A short call saves a lot of rushing on the day.
If you want an outdoor couple shoot, plan it for the hour before sunset and keep an indoor fallback. Winter fog in Lahore can cut the light early in December and January, so leave some slack in the schedule around it.
Mehndi is about candid moments, dances, colour and the rasm. It is often at night under fairy lights, so ask how the team handles low light. Highlight films work well here.
The baraat is the main event for most families: the arrival, the nikkah or rukhsati, family portraits and the stage. Bigger teams are common so no moment is missed.
The walima is calmer and more formal, with more posed portraits and couple shots. Some families book a smaller team for the walima to keep the package down.
For a nikkah, engagement, aqiqa or birthday, a single photographer for a few hours is often enough. Ask for a short reel if you want something to share with family abroad.
Corporate events need quick turnaround, clean speaker and group photos, and clarity on whether the images can be used publicly.
Look at full galleries from events like yours, ideally in similar light, rather than the best ten photos. Compare offers on team size, hours, deliverables and delivery time, then on price.
On Bandobast you can see each photographer's photos and reels and read reviews from families who booked through the platform. Ask your questions in chat, accept or counter, and the money is held by Bandobast until the event is done.
It depends on how many events you need covered, the size of the team and what you get at the end, like films, drone footage or albums. Photographers on Bandobast list a starting price, and you can name your budget in a request.
Often yes. One team covering both usually costs less and works more smoothly on the day. Ask for both in your request and compare offers.
It varies by photographer and by how much editing is involved. Ask for the delivery time in chat before you accept an offer.
Yes. Request coverage for a single mehndi, nikkah or walima, or bundle several events into one request.
Most do. Each profile lists the areas they serve, so the photographers who reply to your request already cover your venue's area.
Ask these before you accept an offer: Who exactly will shoot our event, and can we see their full galleries, not just highlights? How many people are in the team, and how many hours does the package cover? How many edited photos and what length of film do we get? Get the answers in chat on Bandobast so they are in writing.
You pay Bandobast by bank transfer, not the vendor directly. We hold the money until your event is done and only then pay the vendor, so if something goes wrong before the day, your money hasn't left.
